Pink Mile Rosé (2016)

Pink Mile Rosé (2016)

2016 was recorded as the hottest year on the planet earth, and our little corner of it was no exception. We harvested these grapes from Blocks 2 & 3 of our estate vineyard, and picked and pressed them separately for our Rosé. We were extra gentle with these grapes on account of Pinot Noir being a bit delicate. We pressed with minimal skin contact to produce a wine of a delicate pale pink colour.

Tasting Notes
The ripeness of the hot vintage is present in this wine. On the nose you’ll find fresh strawberries and cream with a little ripe melon. It presents as an off-dry wine. But on the palate, the wine is nicely tart with a little lemon-y citrus and rhubarb. You get the best of both worlds, like a nice hot day with a cool breeze.
