FITZ Crémant

FITZ Crémant

Some great sparkling wine comes from the Alsace region of France, and much of it is made with at least some Pinot Blanc. Here at Fitz, we’ve been growing Pinot Blanc for a number of years and often either blending it, or trading to other wineries for them to blend with. But now Pinot Blanc has its chance to shine.  We made the Fitz Crémant using traditional methods from 100% estate grown Pinot Blanc grapes from the south field of the Greata Ranch Vineyard. The Crémant was fermented and aged in stainless steel with secondary fermentation and additional aging in bottle.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Crémant means creamy, and the Fitz Crémant has soft fine bubbles with subtle peach and apple aromas and notes of brioche. It has medium acidity and weight with a slight minerality and a nutty edge.
Vineyard Notes
100% estate grown Pinot Blanc grapes from the South Field of the Greata Ranch Vineyards. Blocks 2 and 3.
Production Notes
We created less pressure in the bottle during secondary fermentation, so the bubbles are softer and creamier – a more approachable style.
Food Pairing Notes
Homemade fried chicken. But takeout will work in a pinch.
