Big Leap Chardonnay
The 2018 Chardonnay is 100% estate grown, and a single block selection from Block 6 in the North Field. Aged for 10 months in French oak, 14% new. Lees stirred monthly. No malolactic fermentation.
A pale hue, with dusty caramel aromatics and mineral flinty notes. A lighter bodied Chardonnay with good texture and a fine line of acidity through to a pleasant round finish. Soft fruit notes with subtle tannins and vanilla edge.
Gottabe oysters. If you’re not an oyster lover, then the freshest crab you can lay your hands on. Careful not to over chill this wine, you’ll mute some of what makes it so special.
