Listen to your land

We opened our first winery in 1986—CedarCreek Estate Winery—and grew it into a two time Canadian Winery of the Year. We learned more than a few things about making wine in the Okanagan along the way, but none more important than the need to pay close attention to what your land is telling you to do. There is no better school than time, and no better teacher than your land. All you have to do is listen.

MEET THE TEAM

Collectively, we've worked over a hundred Okanagan vintages dating back to the 80s, and made roughly a half million cases of carefully grown, painstakingly made BC wine. And there's just a handful of us on the team. Sure, Fitzpatrick Family Vineyards is a new winery for us, but we're anything but new to wine.

SPARKLING WINE

You can’t rush sparkling wine. Well, you can, but we choose not to. We make sparkling wine with estate-grown grapes using the Traditional Method developed in the Champagne region of France. It can take us up to three years, sometimes longer, to release a vintage, but it’s worth every extra day.

STILL WINE

We make site-specific, cool climate still wines that reveal the very nature of the land, vintage and people who had a hand in their development. And then we do it again, slightly differently, each and every year. It’s the ultimate challenge in winegrowing, and sometimes it’s a real test of your will, but after thirty years of doing it in the Okanagan, we couldn’t see doing it any other way.
