Set apart from the rest

We’re just a little south of Peachland, a little ways north of Summerland on Hwy 97 at the historic Greata Ranch site. It’s quiet out here. Serene. A peaceful oasis on a bench above Okanagan Lake with some incredible views. And, of course, there's all this wine to try too.

Some History

A HERITAGE PROPERTY REBORN

Fruit of one kind or another has grown here since 1901. Our family first came to this quiet site south of Peachland, north of Summerland in the 1940s, and it was memories of peaches tasted here that led us to a 1994 purchase of what was then an abandoned orchard. We trucked away load after load of things like old tires and broken refrigerators, eventually planted vines, and re-established this land’s proud agricultural tradition.

COOL CLIMATE WINES FROM A WARM PLACE

It’s the defining quality of our site: our wines profile as cool climate, but it’s anything but cool around our Okanagan lakeside vineyard during the growing season. While temperatures will hit 35°C peak summer, the moderating effect of the lake to our east, and shade from the mountain to our west, allow our vines to retain the freshness and acidity of cool climate wines – an especially important characteristic in making sparkling wine.

SPARKLING WINE MADE WITH THE PATIENCE IT DESERVES

You can’t rush sparkling wine. Well, you can, but we choose not to. We make sparkling wine with estate-grown grapes using the Traditional Method developed in the Champagne region of France. It can take us up to three years, sometimes longer, to release a vintage, but it’s worth every extra day.
